But don\u2019t you have the right to practice your own beliefs and follow your own traditions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stop fretting over this seasonal silly discussion.\u00a0 Ignore what your parents taught you and actually <strong>have<\/strong> your cake and eat it too.\u00a0 Say <em>\u201cMerry Christmas\u201d<\/em> if that \u2018s your tradition or religion, and ALSO say <em>\u201cHappy Holidays\u201d<\/em> at the same time, to be inclusive with strangers and people you meet while out and about, especially in large, multicultural cities.\u00a0 It\u2019s not too difficult to add that phrase.\u00a0 I personally grew up saying <em>\u201cMerry Christmas and Happy New Year!\u201d<\/em> so I\u2019m just replacing the last phrase \u2018New Year\u2019 with \u2018Holidays\u2019, and then next week I\u2019ll just tell everyone <em>\u201cHappy New Year\u201d<\/em> or <em>\u201cHappy 2024!\u201d \u00a0 <\/em>I love simplicity.<em>\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you one of the people concerned that if you say the traditional holiday greeting \u201cMerry Christmas\u201d that people might feel you are not being inclusive or being politically correct?
